Calling all the history buffs! Florida State Capitol features the original Governor’s office, Senate, Supreme Court and House Chambers. This spot chronicles the history of the state from the early 1900s through Civil Rights movement to voting scandal of 2000. It has over 250 artifacts and several interactive exhibits. Walk the magnificent staircase of the capitol, learn about the political history of Florida, understand the law system and how were the law makers in the early 1900s. Check out the rotating exhibits at the gallery in-house. It is one of the Tally’s most architecturally beautiful structures and offers panoramic views of Tallahassee from the 22nd floor observatory or art gallery.

Mission San Luis de Apalachee is a heritage park dating back to the seventeenth century. It features the history of Spanish settlers and Apalachee Indians and their convergence through costumed guides, exhibits, archaeological sites, artifacts and colonial buildings. Actors are dressed in period garbs demonstrating what life and culture was like in the village for Spanish-Apalachee. This site includes a church, Spanish house, tribal council house and kitchen friary. It is marked as a National Historic Landmark in Tallahassee.
